Microsoft Improve Account Synchronisation in Next Update

It is possible to seamlessly work on the same document using more than one Windows 10 PC but Microsoft plan to improve this function with the Redstone 2 update.

A big advantage of using Windows 10 is that when you log onto a system using your Microsoft account, you immediately see all of your synchronised email messages, calendar appointments and documents stored in OneDrive. Microsoft have big plans to enhance this feature in future versions of Windows 10 so that your sessions are synchronised between all of your Windows 10 devices, whether they are desktops, laptops or tablets.

These improvements should be available in the Redstone 2 update for Windows 10, due for release next year. This update should make it possible to synchronise files, Apps and even open tabs in your Apps between your various Windows 10 devices. The so-called ‘contextual user interface’ will allow Apps to match their status with other devices. Microsoft’s personal assistant tool, Cortana, will play a role in this too, helping you restore work sessions when you switch devices. It sounds like switching between Windows 10 devices is about to get a whole lot easier.
