Microsoft has integrated spy functions in Windows XP, resulting in the operating system frequently taking up contact with Microsoft. It is difficult to trace what is communicated to Microsoft, or what they use this information for. However, it is possible to protect your privacy and deactivate the spy functions in XP, without having to worry about errors occurring within important functions or updates.
