Make Websites Easier to Read

Not all websites are displayed in a way that is easy to read in your browser. If the default font used by your browser is too small, you can easily alter it.

If you need to quickly magnify a single page that is using very small text, press [Ctrl] + [+] and [Ctrl] + [-] to zoom in and out of the website you are viewing. Use [Ctrl] + [0] to reset the view to its original size.

To change the font on all websites, in Internet Explorer, click Tools > Internet Options (press [Alt] if the Tools menu isn’t shown). Next, on the General tab, click on the Accessibility button, then select the options Ignore font style specified on webpages and Ignore font sizes specified on webpages, then click on OK. IE will now ignore website font settings and use your default fonts to display text.

In Firefox, click on Firefox > Options. Click on Content and, under Fonts & Colours, click on Advanced. Untick the option Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above. Click OK to apply.
