When Windows 10 was released, Microsoft offered you every opportunity to upgrade to the new version free of charge – indeed, they made it very difficult to avoid doing that! – but you didn’t do it. But now, Microsoft is closing the book on Windows 7 once and for all, ending support for it in a few months’ time. So what does this mean for Windows 7 users? Can you continue using it beyond this cut-off date, and would it be wise to do so? If not, what can you do instead?
