Tables in Word: Quick, Easy and Stylish

In the old days of typewriters, we had to make lists of items using tab stops (and a tricky business it was too!). You can still do it the same way in Word, where it’s a little easier, but there’s much better way: use a table instead! Read on to learn the simple steps needed to create a table of the size you need, add extra rows and columns to it if necessary, and adjust the widths of its columns. I’ll also show you how to make a table look hugely better than a simple tabbed list by applying one of Word’s built-in ‘table styles’.
