Hardly a day goes by without a new story about the latest virus or Trojan threat appearing in the news. These days, PCs can be infected via a drive by download, simply by visiting a website. It seems that anti-virus software developers are continually playing catch up, trying to ensure their software manages to detect the latest threats. This often leads to the absurd situation where running a scan with a Kaspersky rescue CD on your computer turns up nothing, while a rescue CD from Avira detects and removes an infection. You can of course keep an up-to-date set of a dozen rescue CDs from the leading anti-virus developers to hand so that you can successfully fight infections. However, it is preferable to use the Sardu tool to create a bootable DVD that contains all the different rescue discs you need, so that you can successfully remove any virus.
