BIOS and UEFI Tuning

It isn’t possible to start up your PC without a BIOS or UEFI chip, which is the crucial interface between your PC’s hardware devices and Windows itself. UEFI is the more modern standard and has been around for a few years now, replacing the older BIOS. However, many older systems still have BIOS chips built into the motherboard. Because of its graphical user interface, the UEFI is a lot easier to use than the BIOS and can be operated with the mouse. There’s another advantage to UEFI too, since it contains all of the important drivers that the system requires to start up. Unlike the BIOS, in the UEFI the startup process is faster, but in both systems there is the potential to tune the settings for quicker boots. We’ll show you how in this article.
