Applications: Run Incompatible Software

There are thousands of programs that have been produced for Windows but many of them pre-date Windows 10 and 8.1. However, with so much useful software still out there, just because a program wasn’t specifically designed for your version of Windows, doesn’t mean you can no longer use it. Nine times out of ten, an older program will simply install and run on a new version of Windows without problems.
For the one in ten programs that won’t work on your new Windows system, you can use the Compatibility Wizard provided by Microsoft to get your older software up and running on your new Windows system. Follow the steps in this article to find out how to do so.
