Installing lots of different applications on your PC soon leaves your machine cluttered up, and can have unintended consequences in the shape of third-party tools that you didn’t want being installed alongside your legitimate programs. Some of the tools you install will even try to interfere with your web browser settings. If you use the Google Chrome browser, you may find that software on your PC has made changes to your browser settings without you knowing. You can fix this using a small tool from Google themselves called simply the Software Removal Tool, which allows you to detect programs that interfere with Google Chrome and remove them.
