Portable Greenshot is a portable tool that doesn’t need to be installed on your system which will help you capture images from your desktop and save them to a file. This is extremely useful when you need to document an error on someone else’s PC. Simply save Portable Greenshot to a file on a USB drive and take it with you – you can launch the tool and take screenshots wherever you are. The tool runs in the System Tray when it is first launched, allowing you to control it via a menu when you click on the System Tray icon. You can capture the entire screen, a custom region or a selected window, and you can also take snapshot of an Internet Explorer page. After taking a snapshot it is possible to copy it to the clipboard, print it out, email it, open it in another program such as PowerPoint, Word, or Paint, or upload it to a website, as well as save it directly to a folder on your hard drive.
