Bluetooth: Error-free Configuration in Windows

Bluetooth is a modern technology standard for wireless data transfer. You can use it to easily connect a Bluetooth compatible device, such as a mobile phone, PDA or printer to your PC without the use of a cable, and then exchange data or synchronise the devices.

This sounds great in practice but, unfortunately, the reality isn’t always so simple: even if you have all of the right configuration in place, your PC might not recognise your device, data transfers might be interrupted and you can get cryptic error messages from Windows.

In this article, I’ll show you how to correctly configure Bluetooth, connect your devices to your PC via Bluetooth and resolve errors when they occur.
