XP: Protect Your PC with a Virtual Machine

Browsing unknown Internet sites is one of the riskiest things you can do with a PC. However, you can make your PC very secure against damage from external attack by hacker or virus by using the Internet only from within a virtual machine (VM). You can avoid exposing your PC to risks of corruption or file deletion from fatal system crashes by using a VM. Or you may have old programs that used to run under, say, Windows 95 or 98, that do not run so well, if at all, under XP or Vista. Using a VM under Virtual PC 2007 or VirtualBox overcomes these issues by restricting system problems or malware impact to within the VM itself, thereby protecting your host system. In this article well show you how to install these applications and how to setup windows XP in a VM.
