RAM Disks for Better Memory Management

One of the fastest components on your computer is its RAM (Random Access Memory). You can access anything that is stored in RAM in nanoseconds, which is much faster than your hard drive and any external storage devices you may have attached to your computer. One way of using RAM, which is often overlooked, is to set up what is called a RAM Disk. This is an area of your computers RAM that is used as if it were a hard drive partition. You can store files and folders and even run entire applications from a RAM Disk. This means that you can access any information stored in the RAM Disk much faster than if it were stored on your hard drive, potentially making sessions on your computer more efficient.
