Disaster Recovery: Protect Yourself from Data Loss

At some point while using your computer, you will suffer (if you havent already) some form of data loss. This could range from a minor incident such as an accidentally deleted file to a more serious event like a hard disk failure resulting in all of your files being lost. Everything you do with your PC relies on a hard disk to run the operating system, execute programs, and store your important files safely. Hard disks have a finite lifespan and so eventually they will fail with the loss of everything on them. Planning for a major event like this is probably the most important computing task you are likely to do. By taking steps now to avoid the pain of losing important family photos, music, email messages, letters, and other types of critical data, you can forge a disaster recovery plan that will enable you to get your whole system back with the minimum of fuss.
