Encryption in the Cloud

Online services such as Microsoft’s OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Drive are booming in popularity. You can use them to store your documents, photos and other files, which are saved in the cloud and available from anywhere in the world over the Internet. The problem is, you’re effectively saving your important data on someone else’s computer, be that Microsoft, Google or Dropbox’s. While they claim their services are secure, you never really know what happens to your important files when they are stored on remote servers.
